Compare two moments on the USD/BRL chart
You can now compare any two points on the USD/BRL history chart—on Exchange rate history and on the dashboard FX tab. Click twice, see % change, and keep the chart layout stable while the comparison panel is open.
How it works
- Click the first point on the line (amber FIRST marker).
- Hover other dates to preview the second point and live % change.
- Click again to lock LAST (blue marker) and the final comparison.
- Press Esc or X on the panel to clear and start over.
What you will see
Colored band between the two dates, dashed chord on the curve, numbered pins on the line, and a CHANGE panel with both timestamps and rates. Hover always shows an active dot so you know which point you are about to select.
Dashboard & full page
The dashboard insights card uses the same interaction in a fixed-height slot—the comparison panel shrinks the plot instead of pushing the chart over Recent transactions. The dedicated Exchange rate history page has more vertical room and grows naturally when the panel appears.
Data source (signed-in app)
Live charts still read poll history from Redis (7d / 30d / 90d) or daily closes for year to date. The demos on this page use sample data so you can explore the UI without signing in.

Click one point, move the mouse to preview, then click a second point to lock the comparison. Press Esc or X to clear.
Click two points on the chart to compare them.
Dashboard card layout
Same comparison on the home dashboard: the diff panel uses space inside the card so the chart does not overlap other widgets.
