Enable installment tracking on variable debts, manage monthly bills, and import statements

Enable on a variable debt
On a variable debt card, use “Set up installment tracking” (under Open debt), or ⋮ menu
Additional Details
- •Only variable debts can use installment tracking
- •Paid months are never changed when you enable
- •Primary card action stays “Open debt” until tracking is active — then it becomes “Monthly bill”

Backfill running installments
Add purchases already in progress (e.g. iPhone 10x, currently 4/10)

- •Enter installment amount and total count
- •Optionally set current installment — first bill month is computed automatically
- •Review the monthly bill tab to confirm totals

Manage the monthly bill
Use the Monthly Bill tab on the debt detail page

- •See each installment line with progress (3/10) and end month
- •Edit one-off charges separately from installments
- •Mark the bill paid with one click (creates a DebtPayment transaction)

Import a card bill (OCR)
Import one or many PDF/CSV statements, assign months, then review

- •Processing stays on your device — nothing is uploaded
- •Per-month: keep saved total or use statement total; paid months stay locked
- •One atomic import for all months; duplicates already tracked are skipped
